Welcome to Lake Powell Houseboat fishing trips. With
years in working with Elderhostel Programs (since 1995) on
Houseboat Fishing trips, we are please to offer this service to our
anglers. Our
houseboat trips are based off your personal boat private, rental or
time share. As a Guide I can help you with your selection process of
boats and camp destination. Our trips will introduce you to Lake
Powell with fishing and show you’re the waters and attractions that
you need to know to make the rest of your visit a great success.
Having a guide will make it so much easier for you the angler as we
“know” the waters and where the fish are and what equipment you will
need. Whether an experienced angler or novice, your Houseboat trip
will be a memory etched in your lifetime.
You might use one of our personal houseboat & fishing
excursion packages where we can tailor any size boat or even a tent
camp to fit your need and budget. We can also help your to
coordinate a Corporate Retreat with Personal Chef and wait staff
and provide the best Guides and equipment that are available to help
you with your week or just weekend getaway.
Our Fishing Journey Begins
Your 3 night/4 day or 5 night/6 day fishing package
will start with your boarding a fully equipped 70’ boat the night
before departure at the dock. There you will meet the Captain who
will help you get settled in and answer all your questions about the
coming week. You will stock your houseboat with your choice of food
and again, we can recommend service that will shop for you or you
can bring your own.
Our "4 Star" Trip
The next morning the houseboat with guides and boats
in tow will head up the Lake maybe as far as 75 miles depending on
the best fishing possibilities. Many times the anglers are out the
first morning and they catch up to the “mother ship” for lunch and
they (the guides) will set the itinerary for the afternoon fishing.
That evening will be majestic after a delicious dinner and fire pit
on the beach and the billions of start overhead. This is the what
Lake Powell is all about.
You can unwind and discuss tomorrows angling
possibilities. For those fans who do not want to miss the favorite
football game there is satellite television on board. The guides
will stay on their own boats.
Relax on the upper deck in your private jacuzzi
The next morning it’s coffee and breakfast (you
cook/or our chef) and the anglers head out with the assigned boat
and guide in search of stripers and smallmouth either fly or
conventional. There is also night time fishing just in case your
didn’t get your fill for the day.
Social hour and appetizers on the upper deck await
the returning anglers (if chef included) and the week goes with the
last day heading back to home port.
